Gymnastics third at West Chester Quad

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's gymnastics team finished third at a four-team quad with West Chester, Southern Connecticut and Springfield College on Saturday afternoon with a total score of 176.625.

For Ursinus, freshman Monica Durham (Baltimore, Md./Catonsville) finished with the top score for both the team and the event on the vault for the team with a 9.450, followed by sophomore Katlyn Lawver (Newmanstown, Pa./ELCO) with a 9.050, sophomore Johanna Warren (Shakoppe, Minn./Hopkins) at a 8.875, junior Andrea DeToro (Hopewell, N.J./Monsignor Donovan) at a 8.675 and sophomore Morgan Pepe (Old Bridge, N.J./Bishop Ahr) at 8.550.

On the bars, Warren had the top team score at 9.350, which was also third best for the meet, followed by senior Jacki Clymer (Holicong, Pa./Central Bucks East) at 8.900, Lawver and sophomore Erica Schnebel (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) at a 8.600 and Durham with a 8.075.

On the beam, senior Erin Slaunwhite (Halifax, Nova Scotia/Halifax Grammar) had a team-best score at 9.450, which was also second best in the meet, followed by junior Danielle Michielli (Claymont, Del./Concord) at 9.225, junior Katherine Gelinne (Westfield, N.J./Mount Saint Mary's) at a 9.000, senior Brittany Ang (Ocean City, N.J./Ocean City) at a 8.675 and Lawver with a 8.200.

In the floor exercise, Slaunwhite and DeToro each had a 9.000, followed by Ang with a 8.725, Pepe with a 8.650 and Durham with a 8.575.
