BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Five Ursinus College field hockey players were among the more than 450 Division III student-athletes who were recognized as Scholars of Distinction by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association of America (NFHCA).
The NFHCA's Scholars of Distinction program honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher during the first semester of the 2020-21 academic year.
First-years Ellie Bruggeman, Madelyn Cooper, and Kate Templeton joined sophomores Jordan Ulsh and Lauren Weaver as Ursinus' Scholars of Distinction.
The Bears placed 19 team members on the NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad released last week. The National Academic Team Award will be announced March 29.
