BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Ursinus College field hockey team placed a program-record 19 student-athletes on the NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad, the organization announced Tuesday.
The Division III National Academic Squad recognized student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2020-21 academic year. Nearly three-quarters of the Bears' roster was honored on this year's list.
The Bears' honorees included: Annabel Baldy, Mary Margaret Baldy, Paige Bristow, Ellie Bruggeman, Madelyn Cooper, Zia Cooper, Addie Frey, Jamie Mayer, Jenna McKelvey, Jordan Moore, Amanda Panati, Emma Reuter, Laura Rothschild, Tara Starita, Sarah Symes, Kate Templeton, Jordan Ulsh, and Lauren Weaver.
Seniors Mary Margaret Baldy, Zia Cooper, and Frey each received National Academic Squad recognition for the fourth time.
The NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction will be announced on March 23, followed by the NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Awards on March 29.
