LANCASTER, Pa. – Ursinus College field hockey senior Brooke Overly has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Overly did all the scoring for the Bears in a massive 3-1 Senior Day victory over Johns Hopkins on Saturday, registering three second-half goals to hand the Blue Jays their first conference loss of the season.

The co-captain broke a scoreless deadlock just 47 seconds after halftime, then added back-to-back goals just 25 seconds apart later in the stanza as Ursinus opened up a 3-0 lead on the way to officially clinching their 15^th consecutive Centennial Conference playoff berth. Overly's exploits were even more impressive considering that Hopkins, which received votes in the national rankings, had not allowed a goal in its last five games entering Saturday's matchup.

Overly, who leads the Bears with 11 goals and 25 points on the year, moved into 20^th in program history with her 80^th career point.

The field hockey team returns to action with another critical CC tilt at Washington College on Wednesday, October 25.
