COLLEGEVILLE, Pa – Junior forward Danielle Stong scored a hat trick in the second half, as the sixth ranked Bears will remain undefeated in the Centennial Conference, defeating Muhlenberg 7-0 on a cold and rainy Saturday afternoon at Eleanor Frost Snell field.

Ursinus honored Mallory Carcia, Nora Kornfeld and Maddie Craig playing in their final regular season game of the collegeate career.

Ursinus improves to 14-3 and a perfect 10-0 in the Centennial Conference, for the first time since 2010, outscoring their in-conference opponents 63-7.

Stong lead the Bears scoring, with three goals within eight minutes. Megan Keenan and Samantha Macchio also contributed two goals each for the afternoon.

In the final seven minutes of the first half Ursinus finally got onto the board when Keenan beat the goal keeper on a penalty stroke to open the game 1-0 in the 29th minute.

Two minutes remaining in the half, Ursinus added to their total with a goal from Macchio assisted by Annie Kopera right in front of the goal keeper.

Opening the second half, it didn't take long for the Bears to find the goal again, in the 40th minute Macchio notched her second of the afternoon when a shot blocked off the defender was  quickly rebounded taking a 3-0 lead.

Stong caught fire, scoring three goals in the 46th, 53rd, and 54th minutes putting the game out of reach for the Mules.

Keenan added one more goal off a corner assisted by Kelsey Reed,  and Stong in the 56th minute to finish off the scoring for the day.

The Bears will host the Centennial tournament in Collegeville next Saturday facing the winner of Johns Hopkins and Washington College.
