Field Hockey doubles up Johns Hopkins, 2-0

BALTIMORE, Md. – Fifth-ranked Ursinus outshot Johns Hopkins 27-2 on the day, as the Bears (11-1, 7-0 Centennial) defeated Johns Hopkins (5-7, 2-3 Centennial) 2-0 on Saturday in field hockey action.

The Bears scored their two goals in the 28th and 29th minutes, as sophomore midfielder Amber Steigerwalt (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) scored on a junior midfielder Kelsey Reed (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) assist at 27:00 even, while junior midfielder Megan Keenan (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) scored at 28:50.

Junior goalkeeper Danielle DeSpirito (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) did the rest, stopping the lone shot on goal she faced.

Ursinus will travel to The College of New Jersey on Thursday.
