ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Muhlenberg scored three goals, including an own goal midway through the second half, as the Mules (8-7, 6-3 Centennial) defeated 15th-ranked Ursinus (11-4, 7-2 Centennial) 3-2 on Saturday afternoon in field hockey play.
Muhlenberg's game-winning goal came at 49:59 when a cross by Christina Germaske was deflected into the goal by a UC defender.
Ursinus had taken an early 2-0 lead on a pair of Nora Kornfeld goal's off of corners with Megan Keenan getting the assists.
Muhlenberg cut the lead to 2-1 just 45 seconds before half time when Kayleigh Thies scored on a penalty corner.
Muhlenberg tied the score at 2-2 when Emily Boyle scored a goal at 41:48 on a cross from Thies.
Danielle DeSpirito made nine saves in the loss.
Ursinus heads to Catholic on Tuesday.
