Field Hockey hands Dickinson 5-1 loss

CARLISLE, Pa. – Two goals each from sophomore forward Devin Brakel and sophomore defender Megan Keenan lifted 16th-ranked Ursinus (10-3, 7-1 Centennial) to a 5-1 win over Dickinson (11-3, 7-1 Centennial) Saturday afternoon in field hockey action.

Ursinus led 2-0 after one half and scored three goals in a five minute span in the second half.

Keenan and junior defender Nora Kornfeld also had two assists as Ursinus handed the Red Devils their first loss in conference play.

Brakel scored first at 3:18, followed by a goal Keenan on a Kornfeld assist at 29:54.

After Dickinson's Catherine Perlmutter scored at 37:57, Keenan scored her second goal at 45:10 on a Kornfeld assist.

Sophomore midfielder Stephanie Cooper scored at 48:04 on a Keenan assist, followed by a goal from Brakel off an assist from Keenan at 50:38.

Sophomore goalkeeper Danielle DeSpirito made eight saves in the win.
