Field Hockey falls to Johns Hopkins, 3-1

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Johns Hopkins University field hockey team scored the final three goals of the game as the Blue Jays (6-5, 3-2 Centennial) handed Ursinus (5-5, 3-3 Centennial) a 3-1 loss in Centennial Conference play on Saturday at Homewood Field.

Liane Tellier assisted on two of the three goals for the Blue Jays, who had a 2-1 lead at intermission and scored one with just under four minutes to go to put the game away.

Ursinus lone goal came from Samantha Macchio at 6:13 on an assist from Alex Shafi.

In goal, Paige McElhenny had six saves on the afternoon for Ursinus.
