COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Senior forward Corinne Freeman (Freehold, N.J./St. John Vienney) scored the game's lone goal 4:42 in as the 10th-ranked Bears (9-2, 6-1 Centennial) blanked Johns Hopkins (5-6, 2-3 Centennial) 1-0 on Saturday afternoon in field hockey action.
Freeman scored on a tip off a shot from junior forward Catherine Bitterly (Rumson, N.J./Rumson-Fair Haven) as the Bears hammered out 31 shots.
Senior goalkeeper Jill Lukens (Furlong, Pa./Central Bucks East) made seven saves in the win.
Ursinus takes the week off, before heading to William Smith on Saturday afternoon followed by the annual Snell Cup game against West Chester on Sunday.
