Psenicska Garners PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Honor

PHILADELPHIA – Ursinus Football junior quarterback Jack Psenicska was named to the PhillySIDA Men's Football Academic All-Area team on Friday afternoon.

To be nominated, student-athletes need to have at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA and have completed at least one full year of classes at their current institution. The team is voted on by the sports information offices of 30 area institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

Psenicska earns PhillySIDA Academic honors for the first time in his collegiate career after a record-breaking season on the field and continued success in the classroom. He set the Ursinus single-season passing yards record with 2,853 yards, previously held by Thomas Garlick in 2018, and tossed 24 touchdown passes. Psenicska ranked third in the Centennial Conference in passing yards and fourth in touchdown passes as he started in all 11 games for the Bears.

An education major, Psenicska set career-highs in every quarterback statistical category and led the Bears to their first appearance in the Centennial-MAC Bowl Series since 2018.
