Centennial Conference Kickoff '16

LANCASTER, Pa. – With the Ursinus College football season opener just over a month away, Bear fans everywhere can catch a sneak peek of the upcoming campaign when the Centennial Conference hosts its "Kickoff '16" event on Wednesday, August 3, at Franklin & Marshall College.

The conference's ten head football coaches, as well as a student-athlete from each program, will discuss their prospects for the 2016 season when the annual preview day gets underway beginning at 10:30 a.m.

The event will kick off with a "State of the Conference" address by Steve Ulrich, Executive Director of the CC. Beginning at 10:45, each team will have a sit-down conversation with master of ceremonies Bryan Stabbe. Ursinus head coach Peter Gallagher and senior linebacker Tim Rafter will be on stage at 10:55 a.m. Fans can access a livestream of the Bears' portion of the interviews at http://www.centennialconference.tv.

In addition to the interview segment of the day, Gallagher and Rafter – along with the conference's other coaches and players – will take part in a more informal interview and answer some lighthearted questions. Fans can participate by sending their queries in advance via Twitter, using the hashtag #CCKickoff16, or to the CC's Facebook page. This portion of Kickoff '16 will be livestreamed on Periscope, with parts of the interviews also available on Snapchat (@centennialconf) and Instagram (@centennialconf). The Bears' social media interview is scheduled for 12:20 p.m.

Ursinus opens its 124th football season at Bethany (W.V.) on Saturday, September 3 at noon.
