LANCASTER, PA. - After an outstanding pitching performance over the weekend, Ursinus baseball's freshman Kieran Hollander was named Centennial Conference Pitcher of the Week, announced by the conference Tuesday morning.

Hollander earned the win in game two of a doubleheader at Johns Hopkins on Saturday to give the Bears a series split. The freshman southpaw struck out four and carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning, ultimately allowing two runs on five hits in 7.2 innings of work.

Hollander also tossed 1.1 innings of scoreless work against Rutgers-Camden earlier in the week.

The Cranford, New Jersey native has started four games this season and has appeared twice out of the bullpen for the Bears.

This is the first time that Hollander has earned a weekly award from the Centennial Conference, and he is the first Bear to earn a weekly accolade since teammate Jared Minnichbach earned the honors on April 13th, 2021.

The Bears return to action this afternoon as they will travel to take on Franklin & Marshall at 3:30pm.
