LANCASTER – After a prodigious display of power during Saturday's doubleheader with Gettysburg, Ursinus College baseball's Jared Minnichbach has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week. 

Minnichbach relished hitting at Thomas Field for the first time, delivering three home runs to help the Bears earn a split with the Bullets. The rookie had multiple hits in both ends of the twin bill, producing a double and his first career round-tripper in the opener before blasting two more homers in a 9-5 Game 2 victory. Minnichbach's three-run shot in the first inning overturned an early two-run deficit, and he added a solo shot in the sixth.

For the day, Minnichbach finished with five RBIs and scored three runs. 

The Bears return to action on Wednesday, when they take on Muhlenberg at Coca-Cola Park, home of the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs.
