F&M drops Baseball, 10-2

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall scored four times in the second and one time in the third and never looked back as the Diplomats (17-6, 6-4 Centennial) defeated Ursinus (14-9, 4-6 Centennial) 10-2 on Monday in the final game of the two game series at Caplan Field.

The Diplomats had 14 hits in the win, with Mike Smerigilo and Brian Erb each getting three hits.

For Ursinus, catcher Vincent Terry went 1-for-2 with a RBI, while third baseman Alex Campbell also went 1-for-3 with a RBI, with both coming in the sixth inning. Campbell reached on an error, which scored left fielder Timo Muro, while centerfielder Jose Colon scored on sacrifice fly by Terry.

Billie Buckwalter took the loss, falling to 0-2. He gave up four earned runs in two innings.

Ursinus will travel to Haverford on Tuesday, for the start of the two-game series with the Fords.
