ANNVILLE, Pa. – Five players had multi-hit games as Ursinus (7-8) defeated Lebanon Valley (8-7) 8-1 on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference baseball action.

Senior third baseman Joel Ackerman (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) was 3-for-4 with two RBI, while junior catcher Kevin Wilson (Brunswick, Maine/Brunswick) was 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Senior centerfielder Ben Gresh (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove), freshman designated hitter Vince Rondolone (Havertown, Pa./Haverford School) and senior first baseman Rich Guthridge (Schwenksville, Pa./Spring-Ford) also had two hits each. Rondolone finished with a game-high three RBI.

Ursinus broke open the game with two in the sixth, then added one in the seventh and four more in the ninth to take the win.

Junior right hander Jake Kohler (Maple Glen, Pa./Upper Dublin) got the win, improving to 2-0. He struck out one, walked four, allowed one run (unearned) and scattered three hits in 6.1 innings of work. Junior left hander A.J. Wright (Holland, PA./Council Rock South) went 1.2 innings without a hit and senior right hander Nate Schnell (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown) allowed just one hit in one inning of work.

Ursinus heads to Richard Stockton Saturday.
