Philadelphia Section PGA Professional Ted McKenzie has guided the Ursinus golf team to winning seasons in each of his 10 seasons as head coach. He led the Bears to a share of the Centennial Conference title in 1997.

A former Philadelphia PGA Champion and Section Player of the Year, McKenzie is a co-founder of Stonewall Golf Club, a private golf club in Elverson, Pa. He also serves as the club's head professional.


McKenzie served as head professional at Waynesborough Country Club in Paoli, Pa., from 1966-1989. At Waynesborough, he helped develop and teach a staff that produced six head golf professionals. He also developed one of the best junior programs in the area and established a successful junior golf camp for the city of Philadelphia. McKenzie served as an assistant pro at Aronomink from 1962 to 1966. He helped the club organize and host the 1962 PGA Championship.


As a player, the Duke University graduate won the Philadelphia Open in 1971 and finished as the tournament's runner-up three times. He was named the Philadelphia Section Player of the Year in 1975 and the Golf Professional of the Year in 1984. McKenzie won the Philadelphia Section Championship in 1979 and finished as the runner-up in 1975.
