Rachel Kennedy joined the Ursinus swimming staff in 2019. A former four-year swimmer and team captain at Lock Haven University, Kennedy has been coaching at Phoenixville YMCA since 2016.
Kennedy started her coaching career at Norristown High School in 2013, later becoming head coach at Norristown Aquatic Club as well as Mermaid Lake Swim Club in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. She then moved to Phoenixville YMCA in 2016 to assist with their national team and to run the developmental groups. She joined Ursinus in 2019 and continues to be an asset as a bridge between age group and college swimming.
Kennedy graduated as a school record-holder from Norristown Area High School before going on to Lock Haven.
Kennedy works at Eisenhower Middle School as a 6th grade teacher and resides in Spring City with her husband, Ryan.
