Peter DeSimone returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach prior to the 2020 campaign, one year after helping to lead the Bears to their first Centennial Conference championship.

DeSimone graduated as the program's all-time leader in goals (121) and points (184). A three-time All-Centennial Conference selection, DeSimone was the league's rookie of the year in 2016 and received honorable mention All-America laurels as a senior, when he was third on the team in goals (38), second in assists (23), and third in points (61). 

DeSimone also holds the single-game record for goals, pouring in seven in an overtime victory at Franklin & Marshall during his senior season. DeSimone's 38 goals as both a sophomore and senior rank fourth for a single season in school history, and his 61 points in 2019 are good for third. 

DeSimone graduated from Ursinus in 2019 with a degree in media and communication studies.
