Kyle Adkins
Title: Assistant Coach/Linebackers
Recruiting Area: Virginia | North Jersey

Former star defensive back Kyle Adkins returned to his alma mater in 2020 as linebackers coach, reuniting with both his high school and college coaches. A former three-time All-Centennial Conference performer, Adkins is back in Collegeville after two highly successful seasons as head coach at his alma mater, Archbishop Wood High School.

Adkins worked as defensive coordinator at Wood for two seasons before taking over as head coach for his former boss, current Bears defensive coordinator Steve Devlin, in 2018. Adkins cemented his status as an up-and-coming star in the coaching ranks over the next two years, leading the Vikings to back-to-back Philadelphia Catholic League and District 12 titles as well as the PIAA Class 5A state crown in 2019, becoming the youngest coach in Pennsylvania history to win a state championship and earning Coach of the Year honors from Philly Voice. During those two seasons, 12 of Adkins' players received All-Catholic recognition and five were named all-state.

Wood captured state titles in 2016 and 2017, when Adkins orchestrated a defense that allowed 14.9 points per game and a PCL-best 81.0 rushing yards per game.

Adkins spent the spring of 2017 as a defensive quality control coach at the University of Pennsylvania, where he assisted the defensive backs and was responsible for all film breakdown and data entry.

Adkins was a standout for Pete Gallagher's defense, earning three consecutive All-Centennial Conference nods, capped by a first-team nomination in 2015. He finished his career with 185 total tackles, 10 sacks, and 8 interceptions. Adkins graduated from Ursinus in 2016 with a degree in business and economics. He resides in King of Prussia.
