LANCASTER, PA. - Sixty-three Ursinus College student-athletes were among the 644 who were named to the 2022 Centennial Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll for their excellence in the classroom. To be nominated for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and carry a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher.
Senior women's swimmer Sophie Lear was named the Centennial Women's Swimming Scholar Athlete of the Year after finishing with the highest cumulative GPA among juniors and seniors on the All-Centennial Team.
Six Bears earned Academic All-Centennial status, given to those who are selected to both the Academic Honor Roll and the all-conference team in their respective sports: Seniors Sophie Lear, Liv Rachael, and sophomore Melissa Leonard of the women's swimming team; Senior Nick Galbraith and junior Isabelle Deal of Indoor Track and Field and senior wrestler Gary Nagle.
