Women's Swimming

JUNIOR (2016-17): Captured her first gold medal, winning the 100 free (52.55) at the Centennial Conference Championship, where she also took silver (1:54.73) in the 200 free ... Won gold (3:31.86) as part of the 400 free relay squad and the 800 free relay, which beat the field by nine seconds (7:44.51), and the 200 free relay (1:36.76) ... Earned silver in the 50 free at the CC Championships despite posting a season-best time of 24.34 ... Was also part of the first-place 400 medley relay squad (3:50.97)

SOPHOMORE (2015-16): Part of 200 free relay team to break the conference record at the CC Championships in a gold-medal winning effort (1:36.01) while also taking third in the 50 free (24.46) ... Broke another CC record at the league championships, this time in the 800 free relay, where she and her teammates finished in 7:40.43 before participating in the 400 free relay, where the group took yet another gold

FRESHMAN (2014-15): Was part of the 400 free relay group that took gold at the Centennial Conference Championship (3:30.77) that earned the Bears a place in the NCAA B race while also winning gold as part of the 200 free relay that broke a CC record with a time of 1:36.89 ... Won fourth place in the 100 free (53.36) at the CC Championship and fifth in the 50 free (24.39) ... Set a new program record for the 50 free (24.05) at the CC Championships

Before Ursinus: Earned honor roll all four years at Exeter Township Senior High School

Personal: Born February 15, 1996 ... Daughter of Rob and Jen Gundersen ... Has two siblings, Lexie (19) and Taylor (15) ... Health and Exercise Physiology major ... Also conducts research in the SkM lab on campus 

Why Ursinus? The small school makes me feel like I am at home and allows me to know all of my peers. Classes are small and can bring a focus to each individual. The balance between swimming and school is perfect and makes my experience more enjoyable.
