COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's swimming team continues to climb into the national spotlight.

The Bears are No. 13 in the latest CollegeSwimming Division III dual team rankings, the highest position in school history. Ursinus, off to a 3-0 start that has extended its dual-meet winning streak to 51, has placed a number of its swimmers among the nation's best in a variety of events.

Senior Meggie Leitz ranks 8th in Division III in the 200 fly (2:08.52). Junior Gabriella Timuscuk is 31st in the 200 fly (2:12.27) and 32nd in the 200 breast (2:30.23), junior Clara Baker is 35th in the 200 fly (2:12.94), junior Peyten Lyons is 40th in the 100 back (59.92), freshman Sophie May is 41st in the 200 back (2:11.05), and senior Sydney Gundersen is 45th in the 200 free (1:58.16).

Additionally, two of the Bears' relay teams have solidified themselves as some of the best in the country. The 400 medley relay team of Lyons, senior Olivia Tierney, Baker, and Gundersen is 5th in Division III with a mark of 3:59.97, while the 400 free relay unit consisting of Baker, May, freshman Allison Thomas, and Gundersen stands 14th (3:40.96).

Ursinus is one of four Centennial Conference teams in the top-50, joining Swarthmore (No. 18), Gettysburg (No. 38), and Franklin & Marshall (No. 49).

The Bears' season continues at McDaniel on Saturday, November 11.
