COLLEGEVILLVE, Pa – The Ursinus College volleyball team celebrated Senior Day Saturday for two seniors Kaitlyn McGinley and Olivia DeBonte in a tri-match vs Dickinson College and Rowan University.  

The Bears were tested throughout the contest, dropping the first match 3-0, against Dickinson. Ursinus was led by Haley Spotts who posted seven kills in game one. The Red Devils jumped out to an early 8-1 lead in the opening set and did not look back as Morgan Biggs tallied five kills in the first set, as Dickinson won 25-15.  

The Bears kept it close in the second set, rallying back from deficits but unable to take the lead from the Red Devils as they prevailed 25-21. Caroline Sherman and Katie Cressman combined for five kills in set two for Ursinus.  

Haley Spotts had five of her seven kills in the third set for the Bears, but it was not enough as the Red Devils took set 3 25-20. Gabby McGinn provided 12 digs for the Bears while Claire Worley led the team with 14 assists.  

 Ursinus will look to bounce back on Tuesday as they travel to Swarthmore College for a 7PM start.
