BRYN MAWR, PA – The Bears volleyball team faced off against Bryn Mawr College on the road Wednesday evening for another Centennial Conference matchup.  

Led by Sophomore Haley Spotts, who posted 8 kills on the evening as Ursinus, swept past the Owls 25-11, 25-21, 25-12 in three sets.  

In the first set, after a tight start tied 3-3, a kill from Caroline Sherman ignited the Bears to go on a 9-2 run. Ursinus carried the momentum, and after a few Bryn Mawr errors, Ursinus led 19-8. The Bears finished off the first set after two aces from Sherman.  

The second set much closer than the first, knotted up at 20-20 before kills from Evangeline Nesslage and Olivia DeBonte allowed Ursinus to claim set two 25-21. Ursinus finished the Owls in the third set 25-12 to improve to (5-10, 2-3) on the season.  

The Bears return home Saturday to celebrate Senior Day, as they take on Dickinson at 1:00 pm followed by Rowan University at 5:00 PM inside Helfferich Hall.
