Volleyball blanks Widener, 3-0

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College volleyball team ran its win streak to four matches on Wednesday night, sweeping a three-set match from the Widener Pride.

Set scores were 25-19, 27-25 and 25-17.

Ursinus had 47 kills in the three set win to just 17 errors on 133 total attempts. Leading the way was junior outside hitter Kim Goldberg (Sarasota, Fla./Out of Door Academy) with 11 (a match high), and freshman outside hitter Anahi McIntyre (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) had ten kills (10k, 1 error on 18 attempts for a  hitting percentage of .500).

Junior setter Elizabeth Roth (York, Pa./Dallastown Area) had 35 sets for the Bears, while sophomore middle blocker Kristin Hanratty (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) had 16 digs. Goldberg also had two solo blocks and two block assists. Sophomore middle blocker Kayla McLeod (Hermitage, Tenn./University School of Nashville) netted two block assists and one solo blocks as the Bears had six total blocks. Roth and Hanratty also had two service aces each.
