Women's Track and Field fourth at Centennials

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's track and field team finished the 2015 Centennial Conference Track and Field Championships with a score of 98 points, good enough for fourth place.

On the final day dominated by finals. Several Ursinus athletes finished in the top eighth of their respective events.

In the 200, sophomore Erin Farrell won the event with a time of 25.67, while sophomore Chloe Johnson-Hyde was fifth with a time of 26.57. Junior Kristen Prijs was sixth with a time of 26.57.

In the 800 meter run, senior Emily Lamb finished third with a time of 2:15.81, which set a school record that she broke yesterday. This run came after she set a school record and personal record in the 1500 as she finished sixth with a time of 4:39.11. Head Coach Carl Blickle remarked that this was one of the best mid distance doubles he had ever seen.

In the 100, Farrell finished third with a  time of 12.97, while Johnson-Hyde finished sixth with a time of 13.05. Both were personal records.

In the 400, Prijs was third with a time of 58.10, a personal record by more than one second.

In the 400 hurdles, freshman Catherine Buczek was fifth with a time of 1:07.11.

In the relays, the team of Johnson-Hyde, Prijs, Buczek and Farrell were second with a time of 50.08, while the team of Prijs, Buczek, Lamb and sophomore Elana Roadcloud were fourth with a time of 4:05.68.

In the javelin, junior Krista Snyder, who won the heptathlon the day before, set a personal record in the javelin with a throw of 104-02, good enough for sixth place.
