Women's Track and Field makes stops at Gwynedd, Princeton

The Ursinus College women's track and field team took on two meets in four days by going to the Gwynedd-Mercy Mid-Week meet and the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton University last week, lowering times and raising marks with just two weeks until the Centennial Conference Championships at Muhlenberg.

At the Gwynedd-Mercy meet, Krista Snyder won the javelin with a  toss of 109-09, while Kimberly Snow was third. In the pole vault, Elizabeth Cooley was third.

Erin Farrell advanced to the final of the 100 with a  time of 13.1, and later ran a collegiate best time of 26.3 in the 200 to finish second overall. Elana Roadcloud finished seventh overall at 28.3, which qualified her for the conference championship.

In the 400, Catherine Buczek finished fourth with a time of 62 seconds, while finishing second in the 400 hurdles with a personal best time of 1:07.

In the 1500, Emilia Perry won with a personal best time of 5:02, while in the steeplechase Danielle Grimes was second at 13:40.

At the Larry Ellis Invitational hosted by Princeton, Emily Lamb finished with a time of 4:45, in a field of D1, D2 and D3 runners.

Associate Track and Field Coach Carmen Graves opened up her outdoor track season with her fastest season debut in the steeplechase with a time of 10:06, which is in the top 30 on the IAFF World Ranking List.
