Women's Track and Field has successful meet at West Chester

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's track and field team competed at the non-scoring Bill Butler Invitational over the weekend.

With less than three weeks until the conference championships, Ursinus turned in more times and distances that hit or bettered the conference standards.

In the heptathlon, Krista Snyder placed third with a personal best of 3496 points. She jumped 16-6 in during the long jump portion to better her personal best. Later, she placed fourth in the javelin at over 111 feet. Erin Spect and Kimberly Snow also placed in the top ten.

On the track, Chloe Johnson-Hyde and Erin Farrell both placed in the top ten with times of 13.2 and 13.1 respectively. Sasha Cusick ran a personal best and hit the conference qualifying standard.

In the 200, Farrell ran a 26.7 for seventh place and Johnson-Hyde was 11th at 27 seconds flat.

In the 400, Kristen Prijs was second with a  time of 61 seconds. In the 800, Emily Lamb was fourth with a time of 2:22, while Meggie Leitz was tenth with a time of 2:32, a collegiate personal record and a conference qualifying standard.

In the 5k, Emilia Perry was second with a time of 18:42, 15 seconds better than her personal best.

Finally, in the 400H, Catherine Buczek was third with a time of 68 seconds.
