Women's Track and Field set for Centennial Indoor Championships

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's indoor track and field team will compete at the 2015 Centennial Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend hosted by Haverford College.

The Bears have several top seeds heading into the two-day affair, set to begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The bulk of the events will take place on Sunday starting at 9:30 a.m.

Saturday features the pentathlon, of which junior Krista Snyder (West Sunbury, Pa./Moniteau) is fourth overall seed heading into the event with 2,302 points.

In the jumps, junior Elizabeth Cooley (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) who was an all-conference selection last season, is seeded fourth with a height of 9-6. Junior Kimberly Snow (Riverside, N.J./Riverside) is in the scoring mix in the high jump, with a height of 4-11.

In the sprints and hurdles, sophomore Erin Farrell (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) is seeded eighth in the 60 dash at 8.3, and is fifth in the 200 at 27.5. Sophomore Chloe Johnson-Hyde (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) is seeded at 8.3 in the 60 dash and 27.6 in the 200 dash.

Junior Kristen Prijs (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) is the third seed in the women's 400 at 60.6, while freshman freshman Catherine Buczek (Wind Gap, Pa./Nazareth) is the seventh seed in the 400 at 62.3

In the distance events, Emily Lamb is seeded in scoring position in both the 800 (2:21) and the mile (5:13). Freshman Lily Talerman is seeded at 2:33 in the 800.

In the relays, the 4x200 team is tied as the top seed with Muhlenberg at 1:50, and the 4x400 team is seeded second at 4:11, just a few seconds off the school record.
