Women's Track and Field fifth at Colden Invite

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's track and field team was fifth out of 13 teams this weekend at the Frank Colden Invitational, hosted by Ursinus.

With just three weeks remaining until Centennial Conference Championships, the Bears turned in several season bests and top times.

In the 60 dash, sophomore Erin Farrell, sophomore Chloe Johnson-Hyde and junior Kristen Prijs all hit the Centennial Conference standard with times of 8.3, 8.3 and 8.4 respectively. Farrell hit a season best, while Prijs had a personal best.

In the 200, Farrell clocked a season best 27.5 with Johnson-Hyde getting a 27.6 in a season best.

In the 800, senior Emily Lamb missed the school record by half a second, finishing with a personal best 2:21 which was good for second overall.

In the 3k, senior Emilia Perry returned from injury to run at 11:29, which was good for third overall.

Freshman Catherine Buczek had a collegiate best time of 10.5, and continues to improve her mark every week according to head coach Carl Blickle.

In the relays, Johnson-Hyde, Farrell, Prijs and Buczek finished fourth overall in the 4z2 with a season best time of 1:50. The 4x4 saw Buczek, Prijs, Lamb and freshman Katherine Damato get a 4:21, which was fifth best and a season best time.

In the pole vault, junior Elizabeth Cooley had a 9-06, which was a season best and good for ninth overall. Finally, junior Krista Snyder was second in the pentathlon with a total score of 2302 points.
