ORLANDO, Fla. – Freshman Kiley Addis recorded the first victory of her career to highlight the Ursinus College women's tennis team's 9-0 sweep of Alvernia at the USTA National Training Center on Wednesday morning.

Junior Ariel Danziger (fourth singles) and senior Christine Palazzolo (fifth) each won via double bagel (6-0, 6-0) for the Bears (4-1), who dropped a total of just 16 games in singles play and eighth in doubles.

Freshman Caitlyn Sorelle extended her personal winning streak to 14 combined matches, rolling past Natalie Coffee 6-1, 6-1 at number two singles and teaming with Danziger for an 8-2 triumph against Julia Keppel and Miranda Warunek at second doubles. Sorelle has won her last five singles matches, and she and Danziger are now a perfect 9-0 together on the season.

Junior Aileen Bevard topped Julia Keppel 6-3, 6-2 at number one singles and joined classmate Ashley Nguyen for an 8-4 defeat of Coffee and Emily Kabalka at first doubles. Nguyen notched a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Kabalka at third singles.

Fresh off her fourth straight singles win, a 6-0, 6-0 blanking of Alyssa Santarelli, Palazzolo and senior Robin Alsher produced an 8-2 victory against Thea Seasock and Santarelli at number three doubles.

Addis, who lost in a third-set super-tiebreaker the previous night, polished off the sweep with her landmark victory, which came by a 6-3, 6-1 final against Seasock at number six singles.

The Bears conclude their spring trip with a Thursday night match against St. Vincent, set for 7:00 p.m.
