CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The Ursinus College women's swimming team's Centennial Conference dual-meet streak reached 30 with a 150-112 victory at Washington College on Saturday.

Sophomore Peyten Lyons paired two individual wins with a victory in the 400 medley relay and junior Meggie Leitz won two events of her own for the Bears (8-0, 6-0). Lyons, the reigning CC Swimmer of the Week, was first in the 50 free (25.21) and the 200 back (2:11.97), nipping Washington College's Katie Gorman by .02 seconds in the former.

Leitz, meanwhile, prevailed in both the 100 back (1:01.94) and 100 fly (59.44), where sophomore Gabriuella Timuscuk placed second.

Lyons teamed with junior Olivia Tierney, sophomore Clara Baker, and junior Sydney Gundersen to win the opening 400 medley relay by more than 10 seconds.

Julia Portmann was impressive for the Shorewomen, capturing victories in the 200 free, 500 free, and 1000 free. In the 200 free, Portmann slipped Ursinus junior Sydney Gundersen by just .15 seconds in a battle of the CC's top two in the event, and Gundersen was 1.38 seconds back in the 500 free.

Freshman Haley Sturla picked up a win in the 200 breast (2:29.78), and Tierney was right behind her at 2:29.85. Sophomore Caroline Powell claimed first place in the 200 IM (2:17.67); Tierney was third and sophomore Katherine Madden second in that race. Madden was third in both the 100 back and 200 back.

Baker captured the 200 fly in 2:11.11, and Timusck placed second. Baker was second in the 100 free (55.15). Tierney finished second in the 100 breast, with Sturla in third, and freshman Margrethe Leis was second in the 1000 free and third in the 500 free.
