COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Senior Malena Lair Ferrari set a new pool record in the 500 yard freestyle, as the Bears remained undefeated with a 151-108 win over Washington College on Saturday afternoon at Elliott Pool.

The Bears, now 10-0 on the season, have one more meet to go against Bryn Mawr on Saturday before heading into the Centennial Conference Championships in two weeks.

Lair Ferrari swam a time of 5:08.54, beating the record of 5:11.21 set by Caroline Hodgins of Perkiomen Valley High School in 2012.

She also won the 100 back at 1:00.33, and was part of the winning 200 medley and 200 free relay on the afternoon.

The 200 medley relay, finished with a time of 1:54.70 and was comprised of junior Amanda Lucock, sophomore Corinne Capodanno and sophomore Micaela Lyons.

Capodanno would later win the 200 free at 1:59.72, followed by senior Bryn O'Neill in second at 2:01.75. Freshman

Allison Emick was second in the 1000 free at 11:37.99, with Bullock third at 11:38.15.

In the 200 back, Lyons was second at 1:04.39.

Freshman Katie Pielmeier was tops in the 200 fly at 2:16.06, while freshman Alli Hemp was first in the 50 free at 25.72. Junior Chelsea Kozior won the 100 free at 55.70, while Lucock was second at 56.39.

O'Neill was first in the 200 back at 2:17.23, followed by senior Kimberly Bullock in third at 2:32.07.

In the final 200 free relay, the team of Lyons, Capodanno, Hemp and Lair Ferrari won with a time of 1:40.88.
