Women's Swimming takes win over F&M

LANCASTER, Pa. – With just two dual meets remaining, the Ursinus College women's swimming team stayed unbeaten on Saturday, moving to 9-0 overall and 5-0 in conference play with a 114-89 win over F&M.

Ursinus started off quickly, taking 1-2 in the first 400 yard medley relay as the team of Malena Lair Ferrari, Katie Pielmeier, Rebecca Schroll and Micaela Lyons won the event at 4:10.40, followed by the team of Alli Hemp, Eva Russell, Kyleigh Hamilton and Marisa Ferrari in second at 4:19.64.

Senior Bryn O'Neill finished third in the next event, the 1650 free with a time of 18:41.96.

Ursinus went 1-3 in the 200 free at Lair Ferrari won the event at 1:57.61, with Chelsea Kozior third at 2:00.38.

Corinne Capodanno would win the 50 free at 24.97, with Lyons third at 25.26.

Ursinus again would go 1-3 in the 200 IM, as Pielmeier won the event at 2:15.04, with Hemp third at 2:18.98.

Hamilton won the 200 fly at 2:17.41, with Cat Wilson third at 2:20.40.

Capodanno would pick up her second top finish of the day in the 100 free at 54.17, with Lyons third at 55.25.

Lair Ferrari made herself a double-winner as well on the day, capturing the 200 back at 2:10.60.

In the 500 free, Kozior was second at 5:21.76 while O'Neill was third at 5:24.88.

Pielmeier elevated to double winner status with her top finish in the 200 breast at 2:36.03, with Russell in second at 2:38.85.

Ursinus will host Washington College on  Saturday.
