Women's Lacrosse falls to Rowan, 14-10

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Rowan got six goals from senior midfielder Michelle Lubrano as the Profs (3-3) defeated Ursinus (4-3) 14-10 on Thursday afternoon at Patterson Field in non-conference women's lacrosse play.

Rowan also got three goals from freshman attack Becca Wood and freshman midfielder Jamie Blondina.

Ursinus was led by four goals from senior attack Emily Diehl (Lebanon, N.J./Voorhees) and two goals from senior midfielder Alyssa Thren (Barto, Pa./Upper Perkiomen).

Ursinus had scored the first goal of the game, a goal by Thren 2:41 in before Rowan scored the next nine. Ursinus battled back in the second half, scoring the game's last three goals to get to within four at 14-10.

Diehl finished with three draw controls, while Thren and senior attack Kim Peifer (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) each had two.

Junior midfielder Elizabeth Chatburn (Dresher, Pa./Upper Dublin) had four ground balls and four caused turnovers in the loss.

In goal, sophomore goalkeeper Riley Pembroke (Great Falls, Va./Langley) had five saves in the first half, with freshman Alexandra Duch (Wyckoff, N.J./Ramapo) making three in the second.

Ursinus will host Dickinson Saturday.
