Women's Lacrosse now 4-0 in league play with 15-3 win over Bryn Mawr

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Eight different players scored for Ursinus as the Bears (6-4, 4-0 Centennial) defeated Bryn Mawr (4-5, 0-5 Centennial) 15-3 on Saturday afternoon in women's lacrosse play. The Bears scored the first 13 goals of the game, pitching a shutout in the first 30 minutes.

Senior attack Lindsey Urban (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) led all scorers with three goals, while junior attack Emily Diehl (Lebanon, N.J./Voorhees), senior attack Emily Hummel (Lumberton, N.J./Moorestown Friends), junior attack Kim Peifer (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton), sophomore midfielder Taylor Egolf (Wynnewood, Pa./Lower Merion) and junior midfielder Alyssa Thren (Barto, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) each had two goals each.

Diehl, senior midfielder Allison Furman (Glibertsville, Pa./Boyertown) and senior defender Kim Johnson (Sewell, N.J./Clearview Regional) each had two assists each as the Bears outshot the Owls 25-11.

Individually, sophomore midfielder Claire Yergeau (Ossining, N.Y./Ossining) had three groundballs, with Hummel netting three draw controls.

In goal, freshman Riley Pembroke (Great Falls, Va./Langley) had three saves in the first half, with sophomore Jackie Kimmel (Hatboro, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) netting two saves in the second 30 minutes.

For Bryn Mawr, Natalie Chrismer had two goals, two ground balls and one draw control. Kate Flamming made five saves in goal.

Ursinus travels to F&M on Wednesday.
