Women's Lacrosse downs Cabrini, 19-3

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus opened its home schedule in fine fashion, as the Bears scored the first six and the last seven goals in the game in an 19 win over Cabrini on Tuesday afternoon in women's lacrosse play.

The Bears held a 6-0 lead seven minutes in and never looked back.

For the Bears, Emily Hummel had four goals on four shots, while Emily Diehl and Elizabeth Chatburn added in three goals. Lindsey Urban, Allison Furman and Alyssa Thren each had two as the Bears fired off 39 shots in the win.

Urban and Furman each had two caused turnovers, while Furman and Thren, along with Jackie Kimmel each scooped up four groundballs.

Kim Peifer added in four draw controls.

In goal, three players split time as Emma Bacharach made two saves, Riley Pembroke made three and Kimmel had three.

Ursinus will travel to Swarthmore on Saturday.
