Men's XC Lands Three on All-Region, Finishes 7th Overall at Regionals

GLASSBORO, N.J. – Led by three All-Region Selections, the Ursinus Bears Men's Cross Country team finished seventh overall at the NCAA Metro Regional Championships on Saturday afternoon.

 

The seventh-place finish for the Bears was the highest in program history which topped their previous best of 18th back in the 2018 season. Sophomore Giles Daly, senior Marcos Maciel, and freshman Christian Rosado all earned all-region status for the Bears in the race. It was the first time a Bears runner on the men's side earned all-region since 1999.  

 

Daly led the Bears runners with a 14th place overall finish after posting a time of 26:15.4. Maciel followed just behind in 17th with a time of 26:21.5 while Rosado finished in 29th with a personal best mark of 26:39.3.  

 

Freshman Paul Faggioli ran for a personal best time of 26:59.6 to place 41st and senior Jesse Wun finished in 63rd overall with a time of 27:31.4. Sophomore Tucker McGrath finished 69th overall in the race with a personal best time of 27:46.1 while senior Brandon Slaboda rounded out the Ursinus runners in 83rd with a time of 28:33.2
