Men's Cross Country Places 8th at Gettysburg

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's cross country team wrapped up the regular season portion of the schedule, placing 8th at the Gettysburg Invitational over the weekend in a field of 25 squads.

As has been the case so far through the season, sophomore James McDaid led the way for the Bears, finishing in 27:06.4 – good enough for 29th place. Senior Joseph Iuliucci followed McDaid across the finish line, wrapping up the race in 27:31.3 (38th place).

The Bears had two other top-60 finishers in freshmen Dylan Geissinger-Tuttle (27:52.5, 49th place) and Matt Roeder (28:00.3, 56th place).

Each of the final three Bears to finish did so in less than 29 minutes, bringing the team average to 27:50.9. Junior Andrew Voyack completed the run in 28:43.8 to close out the team scoring portion for Ursinus. Voyack's time grabbed him 84th place.

Freshman Kyle Berardi finished in 28:50.5 and sophomore John Haase ran a 28:57.8.

The Centennial Conference Championship is set for October 29.
