Men's Cross Country Competes at NCAA Mid-East Regional

CARLISLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's cross country team competed at today's NCAA Mid-East Regional hosted by Dickinson College. The Bears finished 38th in a 52-team field.

Senior captain Andrew Mackin (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Radnor) headlined the Ursinus contingent on a windy morning, finishing the hilly eight-kilometer course in 28:26.5. Sophomore Joseph Iuliucci (Haddon Township, N.J./Haddon Township) was next across with a clocking of 28:53.5, while senior James Hartop (Glen Ridge, N.J./Glen Ridge) (29:32.3) and freshmen Andrew Voyack (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) (29:37.9), Jonny Cope (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) (29:41.8), and Evan Cirafesi (King of Prussia, Pa./Upper Merion (29:54.1) finished in a tight pack separated by less than 22 seconds.

Haverford senior Charlie Marquardt repeated as individual champion to power the Fords to a second straight regional title.
