Men's Cross Country at CC Championship

The Ursinus College Men's Cross Country team competed in the Centennial Conference Championship this past Saturday at Stevenson University. John Hopkins served as the host for the championship. The Bears finished 9th overall with 252 points. Haverford won the overall team title with an impressive 19 points. Haverford's Charlie Marquardt won the overall individual title in 25:09. The Bears were led by senior captain Drew Mackin and sophomore Joe Iuluicci. Mackin ran his fastest time of the year, covering the 8k course in 28:08. Iuluicci followed closely behind in 28:12.

Working together as a pack Evan Cirafesi (28:58), Jamie Hartop (29:09), Jonny Cope (29:23), and Andrew Voyak (29:34) rounded out the top 6. Senior captain, Hartop's time of 29:09 was a 20 second personal best while Jonny Cope also ran a personal best of over 20 seconds. The Bears are back in action on Friday, Nov 6 at the UC Fall Twilight. The home meet, which starts at 6:00pm, will feature 3 races including Open 3k/5k, elite 2 mile, and the college/alumni 2 mile.
