Carter Tops Own School Record in Men's T&F Strong Performance at the Armory

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Senior sprinter Octavious Carter topped his own school record in the 60-meter dash as the Ursinus Men's Indoor Track & Field team turned in an impressive performance at the Division III Invitational on Friday night at the New York City Armory.

 

Carter posted a time of 7.01 in the prelims to top his previous school record mark of 7.02 that was set back in 2020. His time is now currently the second-fastest time in the Centennial Conference this indoor season. Carter finished third in the race with his old school record time of 7.02.

 

Junior Daniel Maloney took home first in the 60-meter hurdles after posting a time of 8.61. Maloney set a personal best time of 8.55 in the prelims which is now the fastest time for the event in the Centennial Conference. Senior Tyler Reilly recorded the Bears other first place finish at the Armory in the 400-meter dash with a Centennial-best time of 51.65.

 

Senior Zach Crebbin placed second in the high jump with a personal best of 6-6.75 ft. while freshman Trey Rolle also posted a personal best jump of 6-0.75 ft. and finished sixth overall. Sophomore Collin Ney recorded a personal best as well in the long jump as he finished sixth overall with a mark of 20-4.25 ft.

 

Junior Daniel Tabor posted a top-10 finish in the 200 meter dash with a personal-best time of 23.05 to place seventh overall. Freshman Paul Faggioli finished seventh in the mile with a personal-best time of 4:29.95 and was followed in eighth by sophomore Tucker McGrath, who also posted a personal-best time at 4:31.99.

 

The 4x400 relay team of Reilly, Tabor, senior Tyree Williams-Jackson, and junior Payton Stanziani posted a Centennial-best time of 3:25.83 and finished third overall.

 

The Bears return to action tomorrow, February 5th as they will host the Frank Colden Invitational starting at 9 a.m.
