On Wednesday night, they continued their winning ways with an 8-1 win over Mt. St. Mary's College (NY). On Thursday, they dropped their final match to Clark (Mass.), 6-3.
Playing singles first, the Bears (5-1) got a strong start from the three freshman in the lineup.
Tyler Arsenault (third flight), Alex Elbogen (fifth flight) and Dalton Lynch (sixth flight) all won in straight sets to stake Ursinus to an early 3-0 lead. The win by Arsenault upped his singles record to 8-1 on the year, tops on the team. Dylan Marsh and Evan Stutchin also won, giving the Bears the match with a 5-1 lead after singles.

In doubles it was more of the same as Ursinus swept all three flights. Stutchin and Matt Hope won 8-5 at first doubles, while Marsh and Evan Lord won at second doubles by the same tally.
Dave Rowe and Mike Melchiorre closed the scoring out with an easy 8-1 win at third doubles.
Against Clark, the singles were contested first, and the match was dead even.
Tyler Arsenault got things rolling with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 win at fourth singles. After 2 wins by Clark, Evan Stutchin tied the match up with a 6-2, 6-2 victory in the first flight.
With the match tied at 2-2, both Dylan Marsh at fifth and Logan Metcalf-Kelly at sixth split sets and headed to decisive third sets. After Marsh lost, Metcalf-Kelly managed to fight off three match points and take his match to a third set tie breaker.
He pulled ahead early and closed the match with a winning forehand volley, keeping the Bears alive and tying the match 3-3.
In doubles, Clark got on the board first with an 8-4 win in the first flight. Clark clinched the match with an 8-2 win at second doubles, and they closed things out with an 8-6 win in the third flight.
