Men's Soccer ties King's, 2-2

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – For the second straight match, Ursinus played 110 minutes only to come away with a 2-2 tie against King's in a non-conference men's soccer matchup on Tuesday night.

Senior midfielder Andrew Machalick (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) playing close to home, netted two assists in the tie. He assisted on the first goal in the 12th minute as sophomore forward Ricky Griffith (Audubon, Pa./Methacton) scored on a shot from ten yards out.

King's tied the score at 1-all in the 16th minute as Alex Martino scored on an assist from Joey Bender. King's then took a 2-1 lead in the 60th minute as Yehudi Maldonado scored unassisted.

Ursinus tied the score in the 67th minute as Machalick found senior forward Chris Polster (Bernardsville, N.J./Bernards) in front of the net for the equalizer.

The Bears got four saves from Mike Alfieri (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) and will host Johns Hopkins on Saturday.
