Hughes, Wall Earn All-Centennial Conference Honors

LANCASTER, Pa. – Senior Ryan Hughes and sophomore Trevor Wall of Ursinus Men's Basketball were named to the All-Centennial Conference Men's Basketball team, announced by the Conference on Tuesday afternoon.

Hughes earned first team honors while Wall garnered second team status.

It is the second-straight All-Centennial accolade for Hughes after he was named to the second team following the 2019-20 season. Hughes was a dynamic force for the Bears on offense this season as he averaged 18.9 points per game to rank second in the Centennial Conference. He ranked fifth in the Centennial with a career-best 6.5 rebounds per game and recorded five double-doubles. Hughes scored in double-figures for all but one game this season, led the team with a 49.9 field goal percentage, and scored over 20 points on 11 separate occasions. He registered a career-high 35 points against Gettysburg back in early February.

Wall earned All-Centennial honors in his collegiate debut season following a breakout campaign for the Bears. He ranked second on the team and sixth in the conference by averaging 14.0 points per game and ranked fifth in the Centennial in three-point field goal percentage at 40.3 percent. Wall was also extremely reliable at the charity stripe as he led the conference with an 88.3 free throw percentage. He closed the 2021-22 season with a scorching stretch of scoring that began with a season-high 36 points against Washington College. Wall averaged 19.8 points per game in his final six games of the season and ranked second on the team with 2.6 assists per game.

The duo helped lead the Bears to their first Centennial Conference Tournament appearance since the 2018-19 season and their fourth appearance in the semifinal round in five years.

Peyton Vostenak was named to the All-Centennial Men's Basketball Sportsmanship team as well.
