BALTIMORE, Md. – Ursinus senior guard Matt Hilton (Lewistown, Pa./Lewistown Area) had a game-high 19 points , including five three-pointers, as the Bears (5-8, 2-4 Centennial) jumped back into conference play with a 70-42 win over Johns Hopkins (3-9, 1-4 Centennial) Saturday afternoon in men's basketball play.
Sophomore forward Jon Ward (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) had 16 points, with sophomore forward Kevin Janowski (New Egypt, N.J./New Egypt) scoring 14.
Sophomore guard Matt Donahue (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) added in 13 points off the bench, as the Bears shots 10-for-18 from the three-point line in the contest.
For Johns Hopkins, Mike Henrici had 12 points.
Save for a one-point deficit 21 seconds into the first half, Ursinus led the entire way and had as much as a 28-point lead in the second half.
The Bears took very good care of the ball, having just eight turnovers. Freshman guard Ryan Adams (White Plains, N.Y./The Hun School) had six rebounds for the Bears.
Freshman point guard Jesse Krasna (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury) had ten assists in the win.
Ursinus will host Gettysburg on Thursday.
