EWING, N.J. - The Ursinus College baseball team traveled to TCNJ Wednesday afternoon for non-conference action, but the host Lions defeated UC 13-3.

The Lions scored seven runs in the first three innings, and Ben Amon surrendered just two hits over 5 2/3 innings and punched out eight batters. TCNJ tacked on four more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning before the Bears offense got untracked.

Keegan Stem led off the top of the sixth with a walk and Dylan Crammer followed with a double. Stem then scored on a fielder's choice to first. Crammer scored later after a pass ball and TCNJ led 11-2. The Bears would add a run in the seventh after Dylan Runsdorf doubled to left center and Matteo Falcone would cross the plate. TCNJ added an insurance run in the bottom half of the inning and Alec Schwartz would pitch a clean ninth as the Lions earned their first victory of the season.

Crammer and Runsdorf each doubled for the Bears, while Falcone and Solomon Griffith each went 1-4 on the day. Joey Mullen took the loss, allowing three earned runs in the first inning. Joe Oczkowski finished 3 for 3 with three RBIs for the visitors, while Jack Haynes went 2-for-4 and collected three RBI's.

Ursinus will travel to Stevenson on Friday for a three-game series before they head to Myrtle Beach, SC for eight games over spring break.
