Women's T&F Wraps up Home Slate

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's track and field team completed the home portion of its indoor schedule at the annual Frank Colden Invitational on Saturday.

A massive PR by Rachel Conhoff in the 800 was one of the highlights of the meet, the sophomore slicing more than 10 seconds off her previous best to finish runner-up and vault into third on the Centennial Conference performance list. Holly Chambers finished in 2:32.97 in her 800 debut, and Neve Durrwachter achieved a big PR with a 2:37.44.

Isabelle Deal also notched a second-place finish, which came with a toss of 39-4.75 in the shot put.

The Bears had a pair of qualifiers in the 60-meter dash. Dominique Timmons matched her season best with an 8.18 to take seventh in the final, while Kate Hunt dropped her season standard to 8.24 and took ninth.

Timmons and Hunt teamed with Rachel Coleman and Durrwachter to finish third in the 4x400 with a 4:17.59, currently the fourth-best mark in the CC.

Rosie Cuomo, who clocked in at 9.00 seconds even in the 60, made the finals of the 60-meter hurdles, placing ninth in 10.12.

Jill Rotman was fifth in the 400, just missing a PR at 1:03.02, and Rachel Coleman finished ninth in 1:03.82. Rotman was also 10th in her 200-meter dash debut (27.83), where Mer'c Van Ness marked a new personal best at 28.00 seconds even.

Jenna Lozzi smashed her previous career record with a 5:56.37 in the mile, and Amanda Choi also grabbed a new PR at 6:19.78.

Gianna Speranza placed sixth in the high jump (4-6.00).

The Bears are in action next weekend at Boston University's Valentine Invitational.
