KINGS POINT, N.Y. – The Ursinus College wrestling team dropped a pair of matches on Sunday afternoon to nationally-ranked Merchant Marine and Stevens in two Centennial duals.

Against Stevens, the Bears fell behind early in a 27-18 loss, before suffering their second loss of the day via a 34-7 score to the host Mariners.

Sophomore 197-pounder Teddy Conrad (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) picked up two wins during the day, as he won his match against Vincent Termini of Stevens by injury default, then defeated Christian Psomas of Merchant Marine via a 17-5 major decision.

Junior Connor McCormick (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) won his match against Stevens, defeating C.J. Caserta by a 3-0 decision.

In the Stevens match, sophomore heavyweight Bill Cornely (Cinnaminson, N.J./Camden Catholic) won by forfeit, while junior Alex Blank (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) won his match at 133 pounds with a 9-3 win over Preston Graham from USMMA.

Ursinus heads to Muhlenberg on Wednesday.
